When writing a persuasive essay, people use a balance of ethos, logos, and pathos to reach their audience. The balance of these three is considered a perfect harmony within an essay and the best way to convince others. What often goes ignored is the overlap of these central ideas which can make a more convincing argument. And rather than applying there ideals to a persuasive essay, I have used them to interpret tarot card meanings. In doing so, I have found deeper meaning in the reading, which has convinced me of the tarot’s ability to uncover unknown truths.
